"That was awkward." Tristan said, letting go of his revolver.

"I don't like it," Tear said, "Something feels really off with him."
After a little time during travel, something hit the train.

Tristan lurched forward. "What was that?"

"If I had to guess, our cyborg suited friend," Cass said, moving through the train towards the source of the hit, gun drawn.

"Right. I'll, um..." Tristan looked at Cass, then at Tear, then at Cass again. "Alright." he withdrew his revolver and stayed by the half-Azerin.

Tear followed after Cass, her third eye appearing as a crystal on her forehead. She was going to at least try, so she didn't end up dying or being captured by Liam's soldier.
Cass opened the next compartment. People saw a gun and panicked, moving aside for him. One person wanted to try to be a hero, but Tear stopped him with a mental jolt upon eye contact. One more compartment up, they saw a large hole missing in the side of the train, and the suited man stepping through.

"There's our guy." Tristan cocked his revolver.

Cass lifted his weapon as well. The suited man turned, drawing his sword up towards them, ready to rush them.
"Give me the eye and the girl, and I'll let you live," he told them.
"No," Cass told him, firing for his head. The man's suit pushed his reflexes to the limit, and he caught the bullet on the flat of his sword.

Tristan's mouth comically dropped open. "Seriously?"

Cass quickly lifted his gun and shot out the light, plunging them into momentary darkness. He pushed them back into the previous train car and kept backing up, gun aimed at the door.

"Hope you know what you're doing." Tristan backed up with him.

"I don't," Tristan told him.

"That's reassuring." Tristan suddenly felt himself grow hot around the collar. Probably the nerves.

"Our best bet is hitting him from two sides," he said, "One of us from the front; he blocks the bullet. One from the back, to the head. Unless he avoids it, it should work."

"It's a plan." Tristan agreed. "I'll go from the front."
