"She's an Azerin," he told Tristan. He looked at the object in her hand, seeing that it was a golden eyeball.
"Half-Azerin," she said, turning on her heel and walking down the alley, "Come on, before that cyborg guy finds us."

"Right." Tristan stood up straight, and followed her down the alley.

She led them into an apartment and put the eye on the table, "I found this, or well, sensed it," she told them. "I had to get it before that man did."
"The man in the suit?" Cass asked.
"The one employing him," she said, "Liam Cathal. He wanted me as well, for my abilities. He sent that man to retrieve the eye and myself, so they could use me."
"We're not going to let that happen," Cass told her, walking towards the eye, "We'll take this, and we'll bring you with us as well, where you can be safe."

"Just out of interest, what is this?" Tristan indicated the eye.

"No idea," she said, "I imagine you have to put it in your eye to find out. I'm not doing it."
"Let's just take it and go," Cass said. He looked at the woman, "What's your name?"
"Tear Mercer," she said.
"Cass Hoban," Cass said, "And Tristan Gallant. Now let's go."
She followed after them as they left her apartment. The fastest way would be the subway again.

Tristan checked his revolver. He had a grand total of....two bullets left. That was going to be a great help.

"We just have to avoid the exo-skeleton guy," Cass said, wishing he had a better name to call it.

"That's not gonna be easy." Tristan pointed out. "Then again, we'll see him coming."

"Or feel him," Tear said, "I could probably sense him."

"Good point." Tristan nodded. "Helps to have a fully-fledged psychic around."

"But there's a lot of people around," Tear said, "It might be hard to pick him out specifically."
"Let's just hurry and hope we don't have to deal with him," Cass said.

Tristan made sure he kept at least one hand on his revolver at all times.

They made it to the subway without problem and got onto the train.
"So far so good," Cass said.
"Ah, wonderful company I see," said an Irish voice.
Cass turned to see Liam standing on the train as well, near where they came in.

"Tear, wonderful to see you again," Liam said, "Have you reconsidered my offer?"
"No," she said, "I won't work for you."
"Shame," he said, "Well, this is my stop," he said, walking out past them, "Good day," he said.
In a moment, the train started to move and head on towards its destination.
