Livvy looked at her hand, then back at Tear. "I'm fine, kiddo." She tried to lean against the bookshelf, but she fell right through, as if the shelf wasn't there.

Livvy bolted to her feet on the other side of the bookcase, and walked back through to where Tear was. "So, the book can make me into Shadowcat. That's awesome. I wonder what other kinds of cool stuff it can do?" She started flipping through pages again.

"Oh, relax, newbie. It can't be that bad." Livvy said, settling on a page. "Manaan Sempre." This time, a green aura appeared around her, a good bit brighter. "Okay, now I can see it. Let's see what happens."

"I've gotten into worse trouble. There was this one time, about a year ago..." Livvy said, before noticing she was beginning to lose her balance. She looked down, and saw that her legs were completely fused together from the knee down. "HOLY SHIT! NEWBIE, TEAR, WHATEVER, DO SOMETHING!"

Tear hurried over and grabbed the book, tossing it aside, hoping that would be enough.

It wasn't. Her legs had fused almost completely, and her arms were beginning to fuse to her torso. Her clothing was rearranging to accommodate.

"FUCKFUCKFUCKFU-MMPH!" Olivia screamed, before her mouth sealed shut. She toppled over with a cry as her eyes began to seal shut, and she started to thrash about like mad.
