Species Name: Azerin Appearance: The Azerins look like normal humans, but they can be told apart through various minute details. Some have silver hair, some have pale, almost white flesh, and others have a gem-like manifestation on their forehead as a sort of third-eye (although it can come and go as willed). Abilities: The Azerin species has a myriad of abilities that set them apart from humans: [*]Increased physical abilities; they can move faster, they are physically stronger, although that's still dependent on gender and age and on the individual Azerin. [*]Increased mental abilities; the Azerin have stronger mental abilities; they can think faster, they can absorb information faster and hold far more with easier access and less memory problems. They also have limited degrees of telekinesis and mind reading (but only with eye contact). [*]Empath abilities; able to sense the emotions and feelings of others in their area. This ability, however, can be "turned on and off". [*]Those with the crystal/third-eye have the ability to use it to see far beyond normal eyesight, able to use a telescopic vision along with x-ray, heat, and the like, but only with that eye, meaning they must be blind in their other two (although closing or blindfolding works, though it takes time for them to be able to open their normal eyes again). Other Information: The Azerins can breed with humans, and half-Azerins have any of the Azerin abilities; they do not need to be full-blood. Azerin pregnancies are only 4 months, as opposed to the human 9. This includes half-Azerins. All half-Azerins are blonde; the hair does not become strange colors, unlike full-blooded Azerins. The Azerins, as a species, are rather like humans. They have some desires for conquest, but would rather seek peace, and meet with other peoples, learn from them, and have others learn as well. However, that's stopped happening within the past fifty years, as the Azerins have been attacked by species they have tried to assist. They are not hostile, but simply observe and live their lives, instead of attacking other peoples.

Species Name: Vampires Appearance: Generally, they appear to be more or less human. The only visible difference is the fact that they have no pupils and large fangs in their mouth. And no, they don't sparkle. Abilities: Blood draining-Vampires survive on the blood of living organisms to survive. Often, biting a human for long enough can sire a new Vampire. Occasionally, one will be created with a mutation wherein their body creates the blood they need. Telepathy-Vampires are able to enthrall humans as their servants, or erase memories of anyone who saw them. Sunlight vulnerability-Vampires are particularly vulnerable to UV light. It causes their skin to incinerate. De-ionised water vulnerability-Often called "holy water", it can stun a Vampire for a short time. Super Strength-Vampires are at least three times stronger than a human, and have far more stamina. Longevity-Assuming they feed regularly, a Vampire can live forever. Other Information: Vampires often target the rich and powerful, as it gives them an excuse to steal money and possessions as well as feed. The book Dracula by Bram Stoker was originally written as a guide to combating Vampires. As is evidenced, it was written off as fiction. With the recent romanticising of Vampires by certain pieces of fiction, the Vampire population is booming like never before.
Species Name: Red Martians Appearance: They appear as humans, with reddish-copper skin and dark hair. Abilities: Longevity-Red Martians can live up to 1000 Martian years (1 Martian year=687 Earth days) old. Other Information: The first evidence of Red Martians existing was documented in the memoirs of Confederate cavalryman John Carter, who claimed to have experienced life on the planet Mars. Red Martians once divided themselves into different tribes, the most notable being the Zodangan and Heliumite tribes. With life on Mars dwindling, these tribes have banded together to preserve life. In the present day, less than 300 Red Martians exist. Around 38 have emigrated to Earth using transportation medallions. Red Martians are incapable of mating with other species.

Species Name: The Fair Folk Appearance: Usually appear as very beautiful humans, often with silver-gold or other shades of very light hair. All have pointed ears and shining gold pupil-less eyes. Abilities: They have incredible control over illusory and elemental magic. They can do damn near anything from disguise themselves as humans to hiding their cities in thick fog and forest. They can also encourage plant growth, manipulate fire, cause earthquakes or major storms, etc. However, for larger events, they need more casters. Other Information: The Fair Folk may look like elves, but they are not the nature-freaks you know and love/hate. At best, they are inhuman beings who merely view humans as playthings, often kidnapping humans and playing with them for a while before returning them, often with the feeling of lost time. At worst, they're downright sadistic, taking human babies and replacing them with copies known as Masques so that they can use the child as a slave or servant. A child taken in this manner is known as a Changeling. They can also sire half-Fair children with human women, producing hybrids known as Fairchildren. The Fair Folk live in large, hidden cities scattered across the globe. Their capital is Arcadia, deep in the north of Britain. Species Name: Changelings Appearance: They once used to be humans, but now they're not. Many of the subtypes, known as Breeds, of Changeling resemble humans for the most part, but there is great variation. They all, however, have pointed ears like the Fair Folk. - The Fairest, as in "Fairest of them All", were humans crafted into visions of perfect, immaculate beauty. They are even more beautiful than the Fair Folk themselves, so the Folk go to great lengths to ensure they remember their place, often taking senses for temporary periods. They're mostly used as trophies or glorified sex toys.
- The Bestial, also known as "Beasts", these are humans who were broken and reshaped with animal characteristics, often turning them into humanoid amalgamations of monsters both mundane and extraordinary. They are often kept dumb, but a rare flaw can lead to intelligent Bestials. They are used as soldiers and guards, and often serve as the personal guards of both the Fair themselves and important Changelings.
- The Shadowkin, those who have offended the Fair in some way as human or Changeling and, as such, were punished for their actions. They were bonded to the very shadows of the Earth, made as beasts so no one would accept them. A very common trait is that they have no mouth to lament their state with. Their appearance also often has chains or some kind of restraint keeping them in their eternal prison. The Shadowkin are often used as thieves and assassins.
- The Cultured, the most humanlike of the Changelings, men and women of enhanced beauty and fair of skin and eye.
- The Archives, the scholars of the Changelings. They often appear as men with grotesquely enlarged heads, but withered and frail bodies. These are the least common kind of Changeling, as they are difficult to make and often harbor rebellious notions.
Abilities: This varies between Breeds. - The Fairest are all somewhat skilled with illusion magic, able to disguise themselves as significantly less beautiful (but still on the caliber of supermodels) normal humans. However, they can actually use their unnatural beauty as a weapon. They are so beautiful that when a mortal sees their true visage, they are often immolated instantly. The more skilled can also only partially unleash their power, blinding mortals or burning their face into their minds to drive them insane.
- Bestials often have highly enhanced senses and incredible strength, speed, stamina, etc. Some also have built-in weaponry, like claws or fangs or talons. A very small minority among the Bestial are capable of intelligent thought, and can communicate by writing.
- The Shadowkin are one with the darkness. They can travel between any shadow, no matter how far, but this requires great effort on their part. They can also draw others into the shadows and show them things that can easily break their mind or enlighten them. They cannot act in the light, however.
- The Cultured are capable of producing art, be it painting, music, dance, sculpture, etc., that is so beautiful, it entrances whoever looks upon it. They can also imbue these items with amazing qualities, making them essentially Artifact-smiths, but this is a long, arduous process. It can often take weeks or months to produce a single weak object, and it would require multiple Cultured many years to produce an item capable of inspiring legends.
- The Archives are incredibly smart, with flawless memories. They also tend to be telepathic and telekinetic, and highly skilled with magic.
Other Information: Changelings often spend decades in the cities of the Fair to become the way they are. The process to create a Changeling involves breaking the child, physically, mentally and spiritually, before the Fair recreate them into a Changeling. The number of Changelings roaming free in the world is a very, very small minority, as far more succumb to Stockholm Syndrome and stay with their captors. Once free, the Changeling can kill the Masque that has replaced them and retake their old life, or they can forge a new path for themselves. Some actively orchestrate the downfall of the Fair Folk, to end their games with men.
