Overview: Nicky acts like any other police officer in the world, she just wants to do her job and go home at the end of the day without a bullet hole in her. She cares about the law, but isn't completely over-zealous about it like some police officers in the world. She's quite impressed with the artifacts that they keep pulling in in Division 42 and finds it a very interesting place to be in, therefore she's always willing to research the artifacts and go out into the field.

History

The grand-daughter of the NYPD commissioner Nicky was born in a family of cops, her family had proudly served the city of New York for generations however she didn't have the same zeal for the law as her family did. In fact all she wanted to be when she grew up was your average office worker much to the disappointment of her mother who believed that Nicky should have grown up wanting to be a police officer. However Nicky was a competitive person and she liked to challenge herself mentally and physically so much to her dissatisfaction she discovered that being a police officer was the only way to challenge herself.

Of course this didn't mean that she didn't try to find other alternatives in high school, she would try every job imaginable that wasn't related to law enforcement but none of them gave the thrill of a challenge like a career in law enforcement did, she even considered the military one time but her parents put their foot down and refused it outright.

With little choice she joined the police academy and tried her best not to stand out, a hard thing to do considering her family background, she was average in everything that she tried though this didn't stop her from trying her best. At the end of her training she passed in the middle cohort of the recruits, not the shining star that her parents and family thought she would be. However her work ethic and competitive spirit made her a prime candidate for Division 42, interested in it plus the fact that she would be facing things that were out of this world excited her and she happily accepted the offer.

Sample RP:“Come on ladies get to it run, run, run!” the drill instructor said as Nicky ran as fast as she could pacing herself at the same time. This kind of training made all those years of training her body worthwhile, she always did love a good workout and this was perfect. She smiled to herself as she panted while the other recruits were at their limit, she couldn’t afford to lose here.

Finally she collapsed at the end of the field as she panted while the remaining recruits were doing the same, she had made it and that was what counted. No matter what happened as long as she tried her best it would be fine, “Good job McKenzie, though you could do better,” the instructor said.

“I'll try next time sir,” Nicky replied though she didn't really mean it.
